Sosam Tea House 蘇三茶室

I walked by this curious looking joint every time I go to Mei Wah 美華 for their 蘭花豆乾 Lan Fa Dou Gan take out.  One day I finally decided to go inside and get a business card.  As soon as I walked in, the aroma from their open kitchen hit me!  I didn’t know what the particular aroma came from, but surely it was something good and was good enough reason for me to drag a bunch of friends to go try it out.  Some of the memorable dishes include: fermented tofu + sugar on toast (appetizer); bouillabaisse; fish baked in grape leaves; oyster on top of oyster.  This is a small restaurant, so for their elaborate dishes you would need to order in advance.  Their lunch set menus are simpler, but still tasty.  They accept cash only and are closed on Mondays.
